This Week’s Art Projects

This entire week we have spent most of our time outside working on gross motor: cars, swings, teaching Scotty Jax how to climb the ladder and go down the slide, “red light green light”, (an entire new concept to most), obstacle courses, sidewalk chalk, and bird watching. We have two birdhouses with babies now! The babies are getting big enough so they can stick their beaks out of the hole when they are being fed.

We have also been grinding away at the assessments. Because of the attention to detail we give your child when we are doing them, they can take anywhere from 20-30 minutes per child: for just the actual testing.

We will continue next week until they are all done.

Also, next week, if all goes a planned (ha ha) the chickens should all be hatched by the end of the week! Saturday the eggs go into “lock down”; the rocking part of the incubator will be turned off; the eggs will gently be separated and laid down. Wednesday we are hoping to see at least one “early bird” hatching out of its egg. A very exciting week!

It is with a very heavy heart and tears in my eyes, that l tell you all that Kelli is moving on. She has been the perfection of a work partner for 7 years: we are like peanut butter and jelly. Circumstances in her life are forcing her to make some decisions that she is not thrilled with, but that are decisions which she must make for the benefit of her children. I shudder to think of teaching without her for she is the backbone of this business. She is a very strong young woman and knows what she needs to do- but- both of our hearts are breaking. :0(

I am searching for another teacher as we speak and am confident we will have one in place in time for July Camp. Anyone who knows of any individual who may be interested, please let me know.
